My favorite observational doc. Still inspires me now. So many powerful stories and personalities condensed into one block of flats.
DOCUMENTARY SHORT
Hydraulic pivoting sets, in-camera stretching / bending of walls, FKA Twigs, all choreographed in such a great way. Fantastic stuff.
CAMPAIGN
I’ve loved a lot of the Channel 4 Idents over the years, including the 2014 Film 4 indents and the Glazier ones as well. The Pylon perspective shift hit the spot on the first watch.

CREATIVE SHORT
My favorite score in a film. Wes Studi as Magua is incredible in this. Fell in love with this film as a kid.
MOTION PICTURE
Buffalo Bill scenes are so good. I was tied between Fiennes in Red Dragon.
MOTION PICTURE
Got to put a Martin McDonagh in here. Loved this.
MOTION PICTURE
Not much I don’t love about this film. Great score by Geoff Barrow. Love the Turing test scenes. The notions around sentience become chilling in this film.
