Adrijan Assoufi directs ‘Made In Italy’ for Diadora.
Words from Adrijan below.
How was the experience shooting in Italy?
AA: It was a nice time! We had a small tight-knit amazing crew and drove around northern Italy for a few days. There’s definitely an abundance of beautiful locations. Runner friends from the region and from out of town joined us along the way.
Did you have any rules, or ideas, that you kept coming back to?
AA: We wanted to make it feel like a running postcard from Italy highlighting the diversity of scenery. It was important to celebrate the heritage of the brand and share the local running culture. When we arrived at a new place, a few of us would go for a run before any shooting to get that feeling.

Who has been inspiring you lately?
AA: I recently enjoyed Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s new film ‘Drive My Car’.
For commercials, it’s been the guys at Pantera and Thibaut Grevet. For photography, Boogie’s work always excites me.
What are you reading at the moment?
AA: Currently reading ‘The Underland’ by Robert Macfarlane. It was recommended to me by Pim, our talented photographer on the project.
